U.S. Colored Troops Donations

U.S. Colored Troops Donations

Pennsylvania raised more African American soldiers, over 8,000, than any other state in the Civil War. The stories of the Pennsylvania Civil War soldier are told in the original records at the Pennsylvania State Archives. These fragile records are badly deteriorating and will crumble to dust without preservation efforts. Help us save their legacy!

Your donation at these levels will go specifcally to the preservation of these Unites States Colored Troops (U.S.C.T.) muster rolls.

To request that your donation be used for a specific regiment or company, please include this request in the "Comments" section, during checkout from the bookstore Web site.

To request information about a specific regiment or company, e-mail Joshua Stahlman of the Pennsylvania State Archives.
